Shave Your Bum in Four Gentle Strokes

by

How do you get rid of those stray hairs down there? Some women endure agonizing waxing sessions in these sensitive regions, while other resort to electrolysis, which is both expensive and time-consuming. The question is how to get rid of that hair cheaply, effectively and quickly before heading out on a date.

Surprisingly, this can be achieved in four gentle strokes with a normal shaving razor. Choosing the right strokes isn’t as simple as it sounds and can lead to irritated or nicked skin if not done properly. However, with the simple instructions below even ladies with normal dexterity can shave their bums quickly, leading to increased sensitivity in this often overlooked erogenous zone.

Dermatologists recommend shaving in the shower or bathtub. Shaving in the shower will leave you with little clean up afterward. It will also keep those curly hairs from littering the floor and creating dust bunnies in the corners behind the toilet.

Once in the shower or tub, thoroughly wet, wash and rub your buttocks. Briefly massaging each cheek in a circular motion will help prevent nicks. Lather well and take out a new razor.

Pull the skin on your left cheek taut. Shave downward (figure 1) or in the direction of hair growth. Flexing your gluteal muscles and pulling your skin tightly will help you get a closer shave and prevent ingrown hairs. Don’t forget to rinse your razor after each stroke to clean off hair. Be sure to wash off excess cream.

Repeat on your right side as in figure 2.

Shaving around your anus is easy. Pucker up, clench your right cheek in your right hand. With the razor in your left hand, shave perpendicular to your cleft, transversing the lower part of your bum. See figure 3.

Change hands and grip to accommodate the stroke for your left side as in figure 4.

When finished apply an ice cube to the area for 30 seconds to sooth the skin. Then apply moisturizer to finish your shave. Avoid alcohol-based aftershave products, which will dry out your skin and cause irritation when in contact with cotton/synthetic blend underwear.
